Does this replace my health insurance?

NO: 
Direct direct primary care (DPC) membership is separate/in addition to your health insurance. By providing care straight to YOU through your membership (without having to jump through all of the hoops that insurance companies require) we are able to give you a level of direct access and personal care that is simply not achievable through insurance-based care. Your insurance would still provide all of the benefits you are currently receiving for medications, catastrophic events or specialist referrals.

KIND OF: 
Since your membership can typically handle up to 90% of your day to day health care needs, it's becoming common for some patients to carry a low premium catastrophic insurance plan that *lowers* insurance premiums and still *covers* emergency, speciality, surgery or hospital needs, should they arise beyond your membership benefits. Cost varies per month on this, but can be as low as $43 dollars per month.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! We do accept patients with insurance plans as direct primary care (DPC) members. How does this work?

VISITS & CARE: 
We do not bill your insurance for office-visits, virtual-visits or any one-on-one communication with your provider (including texts). In fact, we won’t even charge you for your visits! No co-pays…ever!

LABS: 
Your lab work will almost always cost you LESS when done in-house than if we run it through insurance due to our wholesale lab prices that we do not profit from.

PRESCRIPTIONS: 
You can absolutely use your insurance for any prescriptive needs as usual.

SPECIALISTS or CATASTROPHE: 
Should a specialist referral be needed, or in case of a catastrophe, your insurance would work just like normal.

Is membership a better $ value than the traditional healthcare I'm used to?

In general, yes! Direct primary care (DPC) membership is cost-saving, and healthcare cost will be less than your traditional healthcare plans.

This is accomplished by 
- eliminating co-pays
- cheaper labs 
- and allowing our providers to advocate & find lower price prescriptive and specialist options for you.

It’s often a good option for individuals who don’t qualify for government subsidized insurance or have high deductibles.

It also promotes a relationship between patient and primary care physician, which is priceless.

Our $110/month individual direct primary care (DPC) membership and $250/month family direct primary care memberships includes:
- at-cost lab work (typically cheaper than insurance-processed lab pricings)
- unlimited in-office or virtual visits 
- 24/7 direct communication with your doctor
- Wellness exams, acute and chronic illness management, all urgent care needs, and so much more!

Our $190/month direct primary care (DPC) membership includes:
- everything in our basic membership PLUS
- consultation, treatment, management, counseling and monitoring in weight-loss & hormone therapy including injectable testosterone, pellets and BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy)
- at cost pellets and weight loss medication

Oh, and did we mention peace of mind? security? convenience? All that too. :)

Does membership cover my medications?

Just like any primary care practice, direct primary care (DPC) does not cover the cost of medications.

If you have insurance, you would just use it like normal!

We will work with you to try to get the lowest costs for all your prescription medications. Goodrx and other coupons can make your medications very affordable, and if it is a specialty medication, patient assistance programs can also help.

We are here to help you get the best pricing and hold your hand the entire way!

What happens if I need to see a specialist?

Great news, most direct primary care (DPC) membership patients find that they can reduce their need for specialists significantly under our care.

We can manage MOST healthcare needs (90%) right here in our office! We find that this helps with continuity of care - we're your home base, we know YOU - and keeps our patients healthy & thriving.

When a specialist referral is desired or necessary, we have relationships with specialty clinics in our area and are happy to refer you to the appropriate specialist. You will be able to either use your insurance plan or we can help to find cash-pay options.

What if I need a true ER visit or hospitalization?

If you have insurance, it would apply just like normal!

A great option for non-insured individuals is to take out catastrophic health coverage only, which would cover you for any accidents, unexpected injuries, or sudden emergencies. Cost varies per month on this, but can be as low as $43 dollars per month.

Are labs or imaging included?

LABS:

We do labs in-house by Nurse Nicole. Not only does this make your lab draws convenient, but significantly cheaper than being billed through insurance. We partner with a local lab company and are able to offer our direct primary care (DPC) membership patients at-cost labs with no profit to us.

We have the ability to do a vast amount of labs through our facility and even work with YOUR requests or questions about the labs drawn. Ever been curious about a certain lab, but your insurance would never cover it? We can draw that lab at cost for you.

IMAGING:

We have referral partners for imaging needs and handle everything to get this set up so it's easy on you. Some of our partners can offer one-time cash prices or go through your insurance.

Do you make house calls?

Yes! But this is 2024. Still, in dire situations, yes.

We are limited to our specific geographic location, and each individual case is taken into consideration, such as if a patient is too ill to come into the office or if care cannot be provided virtually.

What if I'm traveling and need medical attention?

Accepted Answer

We've got you covered!

Many illnesses can be diagnosed and treated with a simple conversation by phone, email, text, or telemedicine (virtual visit). As a result of the direct primary care (DPC) membership model, you are able to talk to us wherever you are. If you have a condition that requires in-person evaluation and treatment, we can assist you in connecting you with care near your travel location.

Prescriptions can only be sent to your location if you are traveling within the United States.

Can children become members?

Yes! There are multiple ways to do this.

INDIVIDUAL + CHILD: You can add a child (0-18 years) to your plan for an additional $35/mo.

FAMILY PLAN: We offer a family plan that includes 2 adults and up to 3 children (0-18 years) for $250/mo ($75/mo savings!)

Additionally, a child can obtain a basic membership on their own for the $100/mo individual membership plan.

Are the hormones that you offer Bio-identical?

Yes, all hormones given in this practice are bio-identical (BHRT).

Do you carry Semaglutide as well as Tirzepatide?

Yes, we carry Semaglutide and Tirzepatide to better suit each patient's needs. We offer membership as well as 3 month weight loss packages.
